Just a day after delivering her first child, Kate looked truly beautiful as she emerged from St. Mary's Hospital in a cornflower-blue crepe de chine dress by Jenny Packham, one of her favorite go-to British designers. The dress appears to be a custom-modified version of the white polka dot dresses Packham sent down the spring 2013 runways last September, which have been worn by celebrities like Amy Adams and Dita Von Teese. (For a similar look on a budget, we'd suggest the$84 polka dot skater dress by British e-tailer ASOS.) The cap-sleeved, empire-waist dress featured a polka dot print that conjured up images of Princess Diana – Prince William's mother wore a polka dot dress while exiting St. Mary's Hospital after giving birth to him. It's also probably not a coincidence that the new royal parents both wore blue in honor of their baby boy.
While many new moms leave the hospital in a wheelchair (or wish they did), Middleton descended the steps in nude slingback wedges. And, of course, she was wearing her famous sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring.
